Today Mircosoft announced the general availability of Windows Server 2022.

Among the latest innovations announced are:

• Innovation in Security
• Hybrid via Azure Arc.
• Containers

On the innovations in Security, Microsoft has partnered with vendors that have provided “hardware, firmware and drivers to harden the security of their critical systems”

Secured Connectivity adds “another layer to security during transport” implementing HTTPS and AES-256 encryption with support for the SMB protocol.

Hybrid allows on-premises infrastructure shared with on cloud via Azure.
