The exchange team recommends installing Exchange Server 2019 on Windows Server CORE, for top security and performance.
It is possible to run it with Windows Server 2019 Desktop Experience, however, the code has been optimized for the Core engine.
The new Exchange Server can address up to 48 processor cores and 256GB of RAM.
